“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37
When we worship God, we express our love and devotion to Him. What an honor it is to come humbly before the Creator of the universe. All of us are wired for worship, and the only way we can express true love to God and worship Him is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Worship that transforms is the response of believers to the presence, holiness, and revelation of Almighty God. Worship arises from the commands of God is Scripture and the grateful hearts of the redeemed, who long to come before the Lord to praise Him and to acknowldege His presence in their lives.
“…and teaching them to obey everything I commanded you.” Matthew 28:20
We also exist to help you as a Christ-follower grow in your spiritual maturity and become full followers of Christ. Because the Christian life is one of constant growth and development, we are focused on teaching people how to apply biblical truth in every area of their lives. We want to ehlp you move from the sidelines to active service and encourage you to influence every aspect of the world around you. Discipleship produces something in believers’ lives that causes them to think and behave like Christ.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
We exist to reach out to the people who are outside the family of God to communicate the life-changing message of God’s Word. Christian evangelism is the process of sharing the gospel with lost persons and winning people to Christ enabling them to enter the kingdom of God. Evangelism is a believer sharing the gospel with the lost in a way both understands.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.” Acts 2:4
Fellowship is the intimate spiritual relationship that Christians share with God and other believers through their relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus gave the Lord’s Supper to the church as a family fellowship event to be observed in remembrance of Him. Building relationships of interdependence, evangelizing the lost, and caring for one another are the hallmarks of the kingdom principle of fellowship. Fellowship follows naturally when a church heeds God’s call to practice the other four kingdom principles. Believers share a bond in Christ that is unique and distinguishes our relationships from any other grouping in the world.
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14
Ministry grows out of a transformed and serving life. Expressed as missions to persons outside the church. The goal of discipleship is the equipping of believers as ministers. Each believer is gifted by the Holy Spirit to fulfill a function in the church. Ministry is the normal function of every believer. As the body of Christ matures and grows, the Holy Spirit raises up needs and opportunities for ministry as well as gifted believers to meet those needs. Missions are the piece that puts the work of the church into proper perspective. Unless God calls us and we go, those who could be saved are hopelessly, eternally lost in sin and separation from God.
A vision is a compelling image of an achievable future. Habakkuk 2:2 says, “Write the vision…that he may run who reads it.”
Our vision is: To equip, to evangelize, and to destroy the works of the devil.
“But seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
Our goal is to unite and organize people who are committed to Jesus Christ and to equip them to grow i maturity in their relationship with Him. We embark on this mission to train the body of believers to become disciples and we believe God will use these disciples to accomplish His work. Our job as a church is to train people to progress in their knowledge of God and their relationship with God. This will enable the growing believer to become involved in the overall strategy the church employs to spread God’s love to others.
“I must preach the Good News about the Kingdom of God in other towns also, because that is what God sent me to do.” Luke 4:43
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and them shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14
Our mission on this earth is essentially to reach people for Christ in obedience to the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. There are many ways in which we will attempt to accomplish our mission, but the end goal will alwyas be introducing people to Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18-20 says “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes o you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Sameria, and to the ends of the earth.”
To destroy the works of the devil
1 John 3:8 says “…the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.”
